It was a busy two days for the Superior High School wrestling team. They competed at the Harvard quadrangular meet Thursday, along with South Central Unified District 5, Doniphan-Trumbull and Harvard. Superior won all three of its dual meets.
The Wildcats hosted the Superior Invitational at the high school gymnasium Friday. Superior came in fourth with 75.5 points. Other participating teams were Smith Center, Republic County, Conestoga, Sutton, Meridian, Alma and the Fairbury junior varsity squad.
Hayden Neeman, 106 pounds, and Jeff Christiancy, 285 pounds, took first place in all three duals at the Harvard meet. Aaron Allgood was in second at 138 pounds. Anders Webber picked up a second in the 285 pound weight bracket. Brett Miller picked up second place finish at 113 pounds. Zander Hamilton recorded a second place finish at 120 pounds. Jordan Brown had a second at 182 pounds. Michael McGowan took a third at 195 pounds. Tyler Everhart finished fourth in a 145 pound match.
Neeman finished in first place in the 106 pound weight bracket at the Superior Invite. He earned nine team points.
Miller was second in the 113 pound weight bracket. He was awarded two and a half team points. Hamilton competed at 120 pounds and finished second. He earned no team points.
Allgood was awarded 17.5 team points for his second place finish in the 138 pound weight bracket.
Everhart finished fourth in the 145 pound weight class. He earned 14 team points. Brown took second place in the 182 pound division. He scored two and a half team points.
Michael McGowan earned five team points with his fifth place finish in the 195 pound weight bracket.
Anders Webber took second place in the 285 pound weight bracket.
Payton Christiancy scored another first place finish in the 285 pound weight bracket. He earned 25 team points.
The Wildcats travel to Hebron, Friday, for the Thayer Central Invitational.
