The Lawrence-Nelson staff serves all eligible home-based children (ages birth to 3 years). If you know of someone who is concerned about their child’s development, have them contact the special education director, Jody Hitesman, at 402.621.0812, or Principal Dana Epley, at 402.756.7013.
From a speech pathologist and occupational therapist to early intervention services from the L-N staff, they can help parents recognize and provide support for a young child early on, when they need it the most!
Preschool students receive transportation to and from their homes and daycare, as well as breakfast, lunch, and a snack — not to mention instruction and play to help them with their social and emotional needs and academic achievement, including music and P.E.
Tuition is done on a sliding scale (based on income or special needs verification) as well as Head Start assistance, so it is incredibly affordable for families, if not free of charge. Both part-time and full-time openings are available in the L-N district.
Preschool Round-Up for next year will be held on March 8.
