Beef in the Schools update at Lawrence-Nelson

The Beef in the Schools committee provided a staff appreciation supper just prior to the holiday break, which included:  steak, cheesy potatoes, green beans, a dinner roll and drink. The meal was served to 60 staff members and spouses, with a few trivia games and Name that Tune played following the meal.

Students are having home-grown beef twice a week at both sites, including hamburger, roasts, and stew meat.

The Beef in the Schools banner in the gym was recently updated, and anyone who donates will be added to future updates.  This banner lists all of those who have donated to this cause in the past couple of years.

The committee is rotating between the two sites to serve a meal and offer beef education to the students, as well as the students being encouraged to help with the educational piece.

How can you donate?  Contact any of the officers or call the school to find out more.  Any beef that passes federal inspection, including open cows, can be used as a tax write off!
