Larry Laverne Etter, 84, died Jan. 2, 2021, at Hospice House, Hutchinson. He was born Aug. 9, 1936, in Superior, to Joseph and Crystle (Ahrens) Etter.
Larry graduated from Freemont High School, Freemont, and retired from the United States Air Force after 21 years of service. He later worked at Martinez & Sons, and the Hutchinson Post Office. Larry, along with his wife Norma, owned LNJ Cleaning Services. Larry was a quiet and reserved gentleman, who enjoyed collecting various items, especially coins, and attending garage sales and auctions. He was a lifetime member of V.F.W. Bob Campbell Post 1361.
On June 25, 1977, he married Norma Cornita, in the Philippines. They shared 43 years of marriage.
Larry is survived by his wife, Norma; daughter, Jeanette Hoffman (Tom), all of South Hutchinson; grandsons, Brandon Hoffman of Whitefish, Mont., Andrew Hoffman, Tyler Hoffman, both of South Hutchinson; brother, Don Etter (Pauline) of Superior; sister, Alice Delka of Hardy; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Melvin and Junior; brother-in-law, Don Delka; and stepmother, Cleo Etter.
His funeral will be at 10 a.m. Friday, Jan. 8, at Elliott Mortuary, Hutchinson, with Pastor Eric Miller officiating. Burial will follow in the Memorial Park Mausoleum, with military honors conducted by McConnell Air Force Base Honor Guard.

Friends may call from 1 to 8 p.m. Wednesday and 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. today (Thursday), with the family present from 6 to 8 p.m., at Elliott Mortuary.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to the Reno County Veterans' Memorial, in care of Elliott Mortuary, 1219 N. Main, Hutchinson, Kan. 67501.
