4-H clubs seeking new members

According to the Jewell County Extension office, Now is a great time to join 4-H. Families make projects and success together as members of Kansas 4-H. Enrollment is open to join a local Post Rock District 4-H club.

What makes 4-H special? In 4-H, youth experience the opportunity to explore a wide variety of project areas. Project areas from the arts to animals to science to communications and much more. Project areas that spark career interests.

Post Rock District 4-H members consistently cite their time spent with family to plan and learn how to make projects as a favorite part of being a 4-H member. They also mention the lifetime friendships they develop with other 4-H members as a reason to join a club. Members develop new friendships within clubs and across the state through camps and career development opportunities.

Shannon Rogers, communcations specialist at the Jewell County office, said, "Do things together as a family while helping your child develop skills that last a lifetime by joining a local Post Rock District 4-H club. Contact the extension office located in the basement of the Jewell County Courthouse to learn more about Jewell County's 4-H clubs."
