RHHS volleyball team goes 1-2 at home quad

The Rock Hills High School volleyball team hosted a quadrangular match at Mankato Saturday.

Pike Valley avenged an earlier season loss to the Grizzlies by pulling out a three-set, 25-19, 18-25 and 26-24 win. St. John's-Tipton handed Rock Hills a 15-25 and 11-25 loss. The Grizzlies rebounded to take a two-set, 25-18 and 25-5 win from Lincoln.

Daleton Groote had two kills against St. John's. Lauren Whelchel had one kill. Karrigan Dunstan, Austyn Groote, Jauclyn Lemke and Whelchel each scored with an ace. Dunstan and Whelchel led the diggers with seven apiece. Danica Frost and Lemke posted six digs each. A. Groote and D. Groote pulled out four digs each. Raylynn Anderes had one dig.

Whechel led the kill chart against Lincoln with five. D. Groote and Lemke accounted for two kills each. Dunstan and Caitlyn Scarrow had a kill each. Frost stepped up with five aces. Dunstan, A. Groote, D. Groote and Lemke accounted for an ace each. D. Groote, Dunstan, Lemke and Whelchel pulled off five digs each. Frost and A. Groote cleaned up three digs each. Anderes and Scarrow finished with a dig each.

The Grizzlies were at Natoma for a match, Tuesday, with results unavailable at press time.

The Grizzlies visit Osborne, Tuesday, for a triangular match with Osborne and Chase.
