Lady Cats vs. Sandy Creek
Coach Blevins said, " The Lady Cats started the Adams Central Tournament with Sandy Creek at 8:30 a.m. The Cougars played amazing defense and were picking up every attack the Wildcats sent their way. The Lady Cats battled back in sets two and three to win the match 2 to 1.
Scoring: 29 to 27; 23 to 25 and 20 to 25.

Superior vs. Gering
The second match of the day was with Gering. Gering is Class B. It was the first time they have been at the AC tournament. The Lady Cats came but strong and won the first set. Gering came back read to play in the second set. The Wildcats got down 17 to 24 and then went in to overdrive to come back and take the game. A miraculous diving save from Shayla Meyer, an incredibly sharp cut shot from the left pin from Emma Henderson, amazing defense from everyone on the court and a whole lot of heart helped the Cats rally back to a 27 to 25 win in the second set.
Scoring: 15 to 25 and 25 to 27.
Statistics: Cailyn Barry: six kills of 10 attacks, three serves, one block, three digs.
Alexa Cox: two attacks.
Sierra Blackburn: 15 attacks, two aces of eight serves, one block, eight digs, 14 assists of 30 sets, five serve receives.

Emma Henderson: one kill of five attacks, three digs, one assist of three sets.

The second match of the day marked win number 200 for Coach Blevins. She is in her 11th year of coaching at Superior. In her tenure, the Cats have won four SNC Conference Championships (2013, 2017, 2018, 2019) has three state tournament appearances and won one state title.
Superior vs. Broken Bow
Broken Bow was a talented team and challenged the Wildcats. In the first set, the teams were tied at 13 to 13, 18 to 18 and again at 21 to 21.
Superior's team played good defense and put up a tough fight. In the second set, the teams were tied at 7 to 7, but then the Indians went on a run and the Wildcats were not able to come back. They found themselves down at the exact score as the Gering game (17 to 24). This time, they were not able to make the miraculous comeback they had the game before. The Wildcats ended up second place at the Adams Central Tournament after three great matches.
Shayla Meyer tallied her 1,000th career kill against the Broken Bow Indians and the crowd and bench stood and cheered with signs that said, "1000 KILLS." The bench stood up and cheered," That's 1,000!" and the girls all came to the middle to take a quick moment to celebrate such an amazing accomplishment.
