Life in the pandemic continues to be far from normal. A number of Lawrence-Nelson school district activities planned for this week and next have either been cancelled or postponed.
Starting on Monday, a junior-high football game at Red Cloud and a junior varsity football game at Blue Hill were postponed.
On Tuesday the eleventh and twelfth grade trips planned to NCAPS at Sandy Creek were cancelled. Instead the junior students went to Mrs. Ham’s room and the senor students to Mrs. Wit’s room. L-N did not participate in the volleyball triangular scheduled for Thayer Central.
Today (Thursday) the junior high volleyball game at Franklin was cancelled. The varsity and junior varsity volleyball games at Silver Lake were postponed.
On Friday the sixth grade will not participate in the STEM activities at Sandy Creek. The football and volleyball games at Kenesaw have been cancelled.
Some sports competitions planned for Monday, Tuesday and Thursday have been removed from the L-N schedules. This includes a junior varsity football game at Kenesaw and the St. Cecilia volleyball tournament. At this writing, the varsity football game to be played at Giltner on Friday was still on the schedule.
