Neal Jennings, the son of Mabel (Gouldie) and Harold Jennings, was born Aug. 31, 1946, at Lebanon, Kan. He died Monday, Aug. 24, 2020, at the Smith Center Health and Rehab Center, Smith Center, Kan., at the age of 73.
Neal graduated from the Lebanon High School with the class of 1964.
He served with the United States Army 9th infantry and was a Vietnam War veteran.
Neal was a farmer in the Lebanon area for many years and a loving son and caregiver to his mom and dad in their final years.
Neal enjoyed his cars in his younger years.
Neal is survived by his two nephews, Terry Jennings, Beloit, Kerry Jennings (Sheila) Riley; great-nephews, Terran (Lauren), Kansas City, and Kyle (Kelsey), Independence; great- nieces, Carli and special friend, Tim Clough, Omaha,and Haylei, Hastings; other relatives and friends.
Preceding him in death were his parents; brother, Garth and wife, Ethel; and an infant brother, Melvin.
Cremation has taken place and a funeral will be held at 10 a.m., Saturday, Aug. 29, 2020, at Cora Cemetery (Cedar Hill Cemetery) with Pastor Les Ellis officiating. Military honors will be conducted by the US Army, Ft. Riley Big Red One.
