The Kansas Department of Health and Environment has revised their list of public health advisories for Kansas lakes because of blue-green algae. Lovewell Reservoir has now been determined to be in a warning.
This warning means the lake water is not safe to drink for pets or livestock and water contact should be avoided. Even though it is suggested to wash your skin as soon as possible after contact, fishing is still allowed.
