Democrats throughout Nebraska are optimistic that meeting restrictions will soon be lifted and are scheduling their county conventions for various days in May. But if the restrictions aren’t lifted the party has a back up plan. The plan calls for holding the conventions via conference calls. The party’s Nuckolls County convention is set for 7 p.m. May 27. Those planning to attend must register by May 1. Registration forms are available at nebraskademocrats.org.
Local party officers and delegates to the state convention will be elected.
The Clay County convention will be held at 2 p.m. May 17. Thayer County Democrats are scheduled to meet at 6 p.m. May 27. Their Webster County counterparts are to meet at 7 p.m. on May 26,
The party faithful will receive more information when they register.
