More than 800 Nuckolls County voters have indicated they don’t plan to go to the polls to cast their ballots in the May 12 primary election. Instead they have asked to have their ballots mailed to them.
The county clerk’s office crew is now processing the applications and mailing out the requested ballots. Some have already been returned.
All registered voters have been sent applications and the county’s two newspapers have published the forms.
