She even held the women’s fast time for two years after they retired the car! Joe took pictures of the wildlife that surrounded their home in Grand Lake, while Wanda fed the fox and hummingbirds, but shot the BB gun at the crows!
Wanda came from a musical family. She enjoyed singing. She played the guitar, accordion and organ. You would never know it was all by ear. She couldn’t read a note!
She enjoyed birds; her favorites were hummingbirds and cardinals.
She put together hundreds of jigsaw puzzles. Most of them were of birds, of course.
She also sewed. She started making quillows which sold quickly.
Wanda worked at Gates Rubber Company for more than 30 years. After retirement, she and Joe moved to Grand Lake, Colo.
After Joe died, she moved to Nebraska to help her daughter and stayed
for her grandson, Greg after Charlene died.
Eventually, she moved back to Colorado to be closer to her children and grandchildren.
In light of the current virus outbreak her funeral has been postponed. Please add your stories and sign her guestbook. We will continue to monitor the situation and keep you posted.
