There is still time to register for the Post Rock District, Grain Storage Management Update meeting on Tuesday, March 17. This program has been designed to help producers understand the importance of proper grain handling and storage.
The meeting will be from 3 to 5 p.m. in Osborne at the United Christian Church. Supper will be provided, following the meeting.
The workshop will be presented by Carlos Campabadal, KSU grain science professor, along with a producer panel sharing their experiences. Topics include: Grain quality, Insect control, Temperature management; Aeration systems along with Storage Bin and Bag equipment information.
There is no cost for the workshop, however, pre-registration is requested by Friday, March 13, either online (www.postrock.ksu.edu) or to any Post Rock Extension District offices. Email reservations to Sandra L. Wick ([email protected]). A minimum of 10 pre-registered producers are needed to hold the meeting.
