Sun and also clouds dominated the first part of the week. Thursday, a cold front brought near zero temperatures with below zero wind chill. Friday was slightly warmer, but bitter wind blew all day. Sunday was a beautiful warm day with little wind. The sun is shining this Monday, which may be the warmest day this week.

Senior Citizens meetsTuesday, Feb 25 for a potluck dinner at noon at the Community Center.

The pile of milo north of town, which is owned by RFCU, is nearly emptied and transported to a terminal.

Three members attended United Church Women last Wednesday. Roll call was answered with a verse containing the word love. For devotions, I Cor. 13 was read from the J.B. Phillips paraphrase. A lunch was served by Jan Thornton.

New post office boxes were installed in the Randall Post Office by a work crew last week. Wood paneling was upgraded and a matching door into the postmaster’s area made for an attractive entry way.

Raelyn Bolte had knee repair surgery last week in Wichita. She is the daughter of Julie and Frank Bolte.

Former residents were honored recently. Joanne Behrends was selected Resident of the Month at Residential Care, Beloit. Donald and Jeanette Barrett were chosen Valentine King and Queen at Hilltop Lodge, Beloit.

Ann Wheeler and son, Shawn, visited her aunt, Ila McElroy, Friday. Other visitors during the week were Jocelyn Bolte on Thursday, and Wayne McElroy several times. Sunday, Raelyn Bolte, Andy Cooper and later Jackie Cooper and Kinley filled the afternoon for her.

Elaine Peters taught at Beloit St. John’s last Wednesday. Friday, she attended the Valentine Meal at Beloit’s Residential Care with her dad, Cliff Vetter. Jerry and Janea Peters and boys stopped by Friday evening for a brief visit.

Fawna Barrett attended the home tour in Jewell Sunday afternoon. There was time to visit with several from other towns as well as Jewell people.
