The Lawrence-Nelson boys basketball team lost their opening Twin Valley conference tournament game. 46-43, to Kenesaw, at Deshler, last Tuesday. They won their consolation round game, 49-45, against Harvard, Friday, at Kenesaw. The Raiders played Harvard, Tuesday, at Harvard, with game results unavailable at press time.
The Raiders stayed close in both games but were unable to overtake Kenesaw in the final period. They kept their narrow lead over Harvard to win their 11th game of the season against eight losses.
Trevin Kotinek topped the Raiders scoring chart against Kenesaw with 16 points. Logan Menke added 10 points. Blake Janda hit for eight points. Cole Troudt scored five points. Cody Buescher and Coy Ceder contributed two points each.
Kotinek latched onto seven rebounds. Menke landed five rebounds. Trevor Biltoft and Ceder nabbed four rebounds each. Buescher had one rebound.
Menke topped the Raider scoring totals against Harvard with 13 points. Kotinek poured through 10 points. Ceder and Keith Miller posted six points each for the Raiders. Buescher finished with five points. Janda put up four points. Biltoft scored three points. Krayton Kucera registered two points. Kotinek took away nine rebounds. Biltoft gathered up eight rebounds. Janda recorded six rebounds. Buescher had one rebound.
The Raiders host Superior at Nelson Friday.
