A smattering of snow greeted the community last Wednesday morning. Brisk wind kept the wind chill low. A heavy frost lingered most of Thursday morning. Friday morning, there was a light coating of snow. Saturday and Sunday were windy and chilly despite the sun. Monday morning is sunny and no wind.
Retired missionaries Ron and Debbie Abram will bring the message at the Randall Community Church Sunday. Their mission work had been in Senegal.
Congratulations to Abby Vetter, homecoming queen at Beloit High School. She is the daughter of Phil and Kristi Vetter. Phil took his dad, Cliff Vetter, to the festivities and game. Elaine Peters joined them there.
Carol and Larry Flinn are staying for awhile in their Beloit home. They had a praise service at the Randall Church Sunday evening.
Brennan Anderson had extensive foot surgery Thursday in Manhattan and is recuperating at his grandmother, Charlotte Anderson’s home. His mother, Lynette, and his step-dad visited them Sunday afternoon.
Hank Kummer visited his grandmother, Della Houghton, one evening last week. Roger Houghton was another evening caller during the week.
Elaine Peters took her husband, Dan, their sons and families, Lucy Peters, Bill, Marty and John Wendell, out for supper to celebrate Dan’s birthday. Elaine worked as a sub at St. John’s schools last week.
Marti McElroy visited Ila McElroy one evening and Wayne McElroy visited her a couple of times during the week.
Nancy Buser went to Wichita Saturday to see her granddaughter, Kalli, play in a basketball tourney. They won their game and played again Sunday. Saturday evening, David and Nanette Carpenter and girls and Nancy attended a hockey game at Instrust Arena. Kayla was in the Andale Middle School choir which sang the National Anthem before the game and she also played in the band. Nancy returned home Monday.
Della Houghton and Roger Houghton stayed in Salina and then attended Esther Kummer’s basketball game in Lindsborg and visited with her parents, Hannah and Hank Kummer.
