The first baby of the year received children's books from Brodstone Memorial Hospital and a quilt made by Loose Threads Sewing Circle. The sewing group's members include Sandy Larkey, Dorothy Alexander, Nancy Sauvageau and Angel Elledge.

In 2019, 34 babies were born at Brodstone, 16 boys and 18 girls. In 2018, Brodstone delivered 33 babies and 25 in 2017.
