This is an election year and Jewell County candidates seeking who are registered as either a Republican or Democrat and seeing either a county or township offices must file before noon on June 1.
The primary election will be on Tuesday, Aug. 4. The general election will be Tuesday, Nov. 3.
As of Tuesday morning two men have filed in Jewell County.
Nathan Greene is a Republican seeking a Buffalo Township trustee’s position. Shawn Frost, also a Republican, has filed for third district county commissioner.
Candidates are to file in the county clerk’s office at Mankato.
