Wildcats split games with Sandy Creek

On Saturday, the Wildcats played another away game at Sandy Creek. The Cats started strong, ending the first quarter with 19 points to the Cougars 0. Scoring 21 more points in the second quarter, 12 in the third, and nine in the fourth, this was a high scoring game. The Wildcats won with a score of 61-14.

Kalynn Meyer scored 25 points, and Shayla Meyer scored 16. Sierra Blackburn and Kalynn Meyer both scored a three-pointer. Kalynn Meyer rebounded 13 balls, and Emma Schnakenburg rebounded six. Trisha Hayes had five assists, while both Noelle McMeen and Zaveah Kobza had four each. Kalynn Meyer blocked five of the Huskies shots while Shayla Myer blocked one. The Cats stole the ball 14 times, four of which came from Trisha Hayes.

The Wildcats boys played the Sandy Creek Cougars that night. The Cats were ahead several times in the first and second quarter, but could not keep up with the Cougars in the third and fourth. The Cats lost with a score of 31-45.

Hunter Healey scored 15 points, and Jackson Gilbert scored seven. Conner Blackstone, Hunter Healey and Jackson Gilbert all scored a three- pointer. Rebounding seven balls was Hunter Healey and rebounding five was Seth Schnamenburg. Dane Miller and Zeke Meyer both claimed two assists. Hunter Healey stole the ball three times while Dane MIller blocked one of the Huskies' shots.

The Cats played at St. Cecilia on Tuesday but results were not available at press time. The Wildcats will play at home on Friday against the Doniphan-Trumbull Cardinals.
