Renovation of former law office begins

The Superior Express

It was reported last August that Superior Development Corporation had accepted a $150,000 Rural Business Development Grant from USDA. The grant will be used to renovate the building at 213 E Third Street into a business incubator. The building which was built as a medical clinic about 70 years ago most recently housed a law firm.

Work to prepare the building for its next tenants began this week.

The rennovation goals include providing a useable, economical, starter space for small businesses and a space to host small business workshops. The remodelling work is anticipated to be completed by May 1 of this year. Superior Development Corporation is currently working on creating applications, incentive packages and programming to be offered at the business incubator starting in the Summer 2019.
