    Oct 21, 2021

High school football imitates life in many ways. A person is never sure of what exactly is going to happen next. Last Friday night, the L-N Raiders played their final game of the regular season in Bruning against last year’s Class D-2 state champions, BDS. And . . . the Raiders lost the game 14-44, giving L-N a 3-5 won-loss record for the season. I don’t know how many players, fans or coaches were considering a spot in the state playoffs, but because of the tough schedule L-N faced this season, the Raiders became one of three teams in the playo...

    Martin Fenn, Sportscasting.com|Oct 14, 2021

Phil Jackson enjoyed ample success as the head coach of the Chicago Bulls, winning six championships in eight seasons during the 1990s. However, Jackson’s favorite Bulls player was a man who could hardly enjoy the birth of one of the NBA’s greatest dynasties. Instead of joining Jackson’s staff, the man Phil deemed a player-coach of sorts ended up as a car salesman. Phil Jackson had the special privilege of coaching Hall of Famers Michael Jordan and Scottie Pippen during his Bulls tenure. But as brilliant as those players were, Jackson had a...

Rowan Jarosik and Logan Menke continued to earn medals for the year as Rowan came in fifth in this Meet with a time of 17:40 while Logan came in 12th with a time of 18:48. • Raiders even record at 3-3 with 70-43 victory

    Oct 7, 2021

Impressed by the amount of scoring done this year by the L-N Raider football team ? ? ? Well, after last Friday's 70-43 victory over Giltner, I surely was. In fact at half time I commented just where the score of the game might end. I was reminded by a fan that it might just take some doing to beat that game of several years ago when L-N scored 90 point, also against Giltner. My memory, not being as good as it should made me go home and look up scores from the past several years and there it...
