Avery Ostdiek along with her parents host ed a “You’ve Been Flocked” fundraiser to sponsor her next two World Archery Trips. The money raised will be used to help off set cost for her upcoming trips to NASP/IBO World Archery Tournament, in Louisville, Ky., in June and Outdoor World in August which is held in Seven Springs, Penn. The Hastings Tribune named Ella Gardner to the All-Tribland 2022 female Track and Field Athlete of the Year. Gardner, a junior at Superior High School, set a state Class C long jump record. She put on a brave performance at the state meet earning 36 of a possible 40 points on her way to two gold and two silver medals. Her versatility is apparent in her events. Nate Meyers was the lone Rock Hills track and field qualifier for the state meet held at Wichita State University's Cessna Stadium. Avery competed in four shoots total, NASP Target, NASP/IBO 3D, Centershot Target and Centershot IBO 3D. She improved her scores with each shoot. Trisha Hayes earned a third place all conference at the American Rivers Conference heptathion in DeBuque, Iowa, over the weekend.
