    The high school sport of wrestling has been affected by the 2023-24 winter weather just as most other activities in high schools across the state.     The Rock Hills Grizzlies’ recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their fifth straight loss. They took a 45-39 hit at the hands of Lincoln. The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Rock Hills in their matchups with Lincoln; they’ve now lost four in a row. Rock Hills lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Cooper McDill, who scored 15 points.     Friday, the Superior Wildcats trailed only slightly , but could never close the gap as they fell 36-31 to Red Cloud. At the end of the first quarter, the young team trailed by one point and the score was Superior 6, Red Cloud 7. But the trend continued, leaving the Wildcats once again with a loss. The win came over Giltner and was the largest "margin of victory" for the girls this season.     Both the boys and girls basketball teams traveled west for the Holiday Basketball Tournament in Hershey, Nebraska, last week. They mixed it up with Class C-1 and C-2 schools and it didn’t turn out nice for the Raiders.
