    The Rock Hills High School football team gets the 2024 season underway, Friday, when they travel to Beloit to take on St. John’s. Kickoff is slated for 7 p.m. Wyatt Flynn returns as head coach.     The Rock Hills high School volleyball team kicked off the regular 2024 season with two wins at the Pike Valley triangular match at Scandia Friday. The Grizzlies made quick work of Pike Valley with a two-set, 25-9 and 25-5. The Grizzlies swept Tescott in two sets, 25-12 and 25-21.     The Superior High School volleyball team found the transition from practice to actual game to be tougher than expected. The Wildcats hosted the Thayer Central Titans at Superior Thursday.     The Lawrence-Nelson volleyball team went 1-2 at their opening triangular match at Axtell Saturday. They downed Dundy County-Stratton in three sets, 25-21, 23-25 and 25-23.     It was a long bus ride to Howells for the Lawrence-Nelson Raiders for their first game of the season. It was an even longer ride home after falling 36-8 to the Howells-Dodge Jaguars. Howells-Dodge sported a 14 point lead after the first quarter. The Raiders scored their lone touchdown in the second period. They pulled off a successful two-point conversion but trailed 20-8 at the half.
