Sadie Rempel is the 16-year-old daughter of Brent and Lea Rempel. The family lives on a small farm north of Nelson. Sadie will be a junior at Superior High School this fall. Golf camp at Superior Country Club The Superior Country Club hosted a youth golf camp Thursday and Friday. Young golfers from Nuckolls and Thayer counties participated in the event. In spite of the COVID-19 pandemic, the 2021 Softball season in Nebraska did take place. The pandemic did have an effect on the summer program, but all-in-all, the season was successful. Manager Dick Kohmetscher noted they played only 13 games this year and there was no state tournament action for the local girls. The weather conditions were ideal fore Sunday's 39th annual Firekracker Run in Superior. The temperature was in the 70s. The sky was partly cloudy, a gentle breeze was evident and the humidity remained low. Runners of all ages and from several states had registered for the event sponsored by the Superior Joggers.
