Bernard grew up in Ruskin, attending school and graduating from Ruskin High School with the Class of 1941. He died last Wednesday, at Parkview Haven Nursing Home in Deshler. He went through the eighth grade at the Moran Country School. Ervin was united in marriage to Helen Brockmann on Aug. 11, 1963, at St. John Lutheran Church in Chester, by Pastor J. Leige.
