    Monday evening, the Superior Board of Education accepted a bid from 20/20 Technologies LLC for $17,802 for a new Voice Over Internet Protocol (VOIP) phone system. The new VOIP system will upgrade the schools current telecommunications infrastructure. The bid includes full installation, training an on-site system administrator, 70 desk phones, softphone integration for remote staff, voicemail, call forwarding and conferencing features for a total of 80 users.     The 36th annual Nuckolls County Pheasants Forever Banquet will be held Friday on the Nuckolls County Fairgrounds. The doors open at 5:30 with a prime rib dinner served at 7 p.m. The purpose of the organization is to improve the local pheasant population.     On Sunday, Nov. 3, Col. Clifford Silsby, Col. Edward Sykes and 1SG Darrel Haeffele were inducted into the Kansas National Guard Hall of Fame at the Nickell Armory at Topeka. Col. Silsby, son of Boyd and Donna Silsby, graduated from Mankato High School. Col. Clifford M. Silsby was born July 19, 1952, in Concordia, Kansas.     Keenagers met again at the fire hall in Lawrence on Thursday, Oct. 17, with Lynette Hofstetter and Jo Mazour hosting. There were 25 guests.     The Kansas Department of Health and Environment (KDHE) has rescinded a boil water advisory for the City of Esbon public water supply system located in Jewell County. KDHE officials issued the advisory because of installation of new water mains resulting in a loss of pressure during construction. Failure to maintain adequate pressure may result in a loss of chlorine residuals and bacterial contamination.
