In conditions that were anything but ideal, hundreds of the state’s best cross country athletes meet in Kearney last week for the annual state competition. The Nebraska South Central Unified District was represented by two boys in the Class C competition. A total of 118 boys were included in Class C and for the Red Raiders Brayton Jarosik finished 28th with a time of 17:38. Logan Menke finished 77th with a time of 18:36. Even if a person keeps tracks of sports seasons and schedules, the end almost always seems to sneak up on a person. As with the case of the L-N Lady Raider’s volleyball team, the end came suddenly this week Monday night.
