The Rock Hills High School football team closed out regular season play, Friday, with a 40-0 win over Washington County at Mankato. The win left the Grizzlies with a 3-5 record. Larry Griffith, 73, of Salina, died Oct. 11, 2023. Larry was born on Sept. 3, 1950, in York, Nebraska, to Colleen Row- ley and Earl Griffith. When he was 21, Larry joined the US Marine Corps and served seven years as an aircraft mechanic. As a staff sergeant in the United States Marine Corps, Larry served in Okinawa, Japan. Reginald "Reggie" Oren Reed was born Feb. 28, 1930, in rural Scandia to Ruby (Freed) Reed and Oren Reed, and died at home surrounded by his family. Reggie was the oldest child of five born to Ruby and Oren. Reggie attended primary school at Union Valley, rural Scandia, and graduated Belleville High School.
