It was another game to forget for the Rock Hills Grizzlies football team. They hosted Osborne, at Mankato, Friday. Osborne headed home at halftime thanks to the mercy rule. Gloria Ann (Tietjen) Mason, 80, of Gretna died peacefully with family surrounding her on Thursday, July 30, 2020. Her funeral was 10:30 a.m. on Aug. 4, 2020, at Resurrection Lutheran Church, 153 S. McKenna Ave., Gretna. Interment was in Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. Steven Troy Hanson, 56, died Sept. 25, 2020. Steve enjoyed fishing, golf, camping and football - especially K-State and Chiefs. After graduating from Manhattan Vo-Tech, he worked as a lineman. George Edward Piper, the son of Herbert and Corinne (Klaus) Piper, was born on April 11, 1944, in St. Louis, Mo. He died Sept. 23, 2020, at the Bryan LGH Medical Center East at Lincoln, Neb., at the age of 76 years, 5 months, 12 days. George graduated from Highland, Ill., high school. Patty Jo Sorge, 59, died Saturday at her residence in York. She was born on Nov. 11, 1960 in Deshler to Floyd and Dorothy (Heyen) Sorge. Patty married Michael Ryan, Sr. on Aug. 17, 1977, in Texas. Norman L. Lunzmann, 84, of Deshler, Neb., the son of John and Edna (Peters) Lunzmann, was born June 6, 1936, in Byron, Neb. He died Monday, Sept. 28, 2020, at Parkview Haven Nursing Home in Deshler.
