  • Former resident returning to Brodstone's specialty clinic staff

    Brodstone Hospital has added Dr. Kendra Luebke, M.D., adult and pediatric ear, nose and throat (ENT) specialist to their Specialty Clinic Providers list. Starting in October, Dr. Luebke will visit Brodstone monthly, joining 24 other providers who currently hold clinics at least monthly.     Meeting in special session shortly before 7 a.m. Monday the Superior Board of Education voted to end the virtual school option for the students enrolled in the school system. As indicated by the minutes published in this week’s issue of The Superior Express, in-person class attendance will be the only option for those youngsters enrolled in the Superior School System.     Brodstone Memorial Hospital continues to be a site host for the TestNebraska program. Multiple testing dates have taken place at the facility over the last few months. Nebraska residents are encouraged to take an online assessment at www.testnebraska.com in order to see if they are eligible for testing.   • Brodstone to provide drive-thru flu shot clinics

    Superior Family Medical Center, Nelson Family Medical Center and Edgar Medical Clinic will be administering flu shots a bit different this year. They have announced three separate dates for drive-thru flu shot clinics at each of the facilities next week. No appointments are required and patients are asked to bring their insurance card if insured. Flu shots are $55 without insurance and cash or check will be accepted only.   • SHDHD reports 40 new lab-confirmed COVID-19 cases

    South Heartland District Health Department (SHDHD) officials reported 40 new lab-confirmed COVID-19 cases in four days (Friday through Monday), bringing the cumulative total number of cases in the four-county health district to 690. The new confirmed cases for the four-day period include: 34 in Adams, four in Clay, and two in Webster.     Beginning today (Oct. 1), Nebraska drivers after renewing their driver license online will have the option to print their temporary license at home. Previously, when renewing a driver license online, the only way to obtain a temporary driver license while waiting for the new license to be printed and delivered, was to visit a DMV office.
