Patricia “Patti” Ann Burkhart, 58, died Sept. 14, 2020, at West Florida Hospital in Pensacola, Fla., after a long battle with pneumonia. She was born on Oct. 30, 1961 in Concordia, Kan., to Robert and Edith Love. Patti grew up in Mankato and liked being on the farm. She enjoyed animals and tried to make a pet out of any animal she found. Patti graduated from Mankato High School in 1979. Skeet Powell died Tuesday at his residence with his family by his side. Skeet was born in Superior, Neb., July 5, 1950, to Lyle Dean Powell and Louise Collins Powell. He grew up in Mankato on a farm. After serving in the US Army, he married Jan Drury on June 16, 1973. Skeet was a man of many talents with a wide variety of careers throughout his lifetime. Lois Stierwalt, the daughter of Jesse and Grace (Dain) Mittan, was born on July 1, 1935, in Hebron, Neb. She died Sept. 16, 2020, at Fillmore County Hospital at Geneva, at the age of 85 years, 2 months, 15 days. Lois was a graduate of Hebron High School. Trevor James Thayer, the son of Ronald D. Thayer and Shanna Lee (Pritchard) Thayer, was born June 22, 1990, in Lincoln, Neb. He died Sept. 15, 2020, in San Antonio, Texas, at the age of 30 years. Henry Drudik, 89, of Lincoln, Neb., formerly of Ruskin, was born on March 9, 1931, in Fairfield, and died Sept. 18, in Lincoln, Neb. Henry was raised on a farm near Deweese.
