    The Rock Hills Grizzlies hosted a triangular match, at Mankato, last Tuesday. The visiting teams were not gracious guests. After downing Osborne 25-18 in the first set, the Bulldogs roared back to take the following two sets, 25-9 and 25-18, to claim the three set win. Thunder Ridge downed Rock Hills in two sets, 25-14 and 25-19. The Grizzlies downed Wakefield, 25-17 and 25-14, to earn the win at the Solomon Tournament, Saturday.     A busy week with five games resulted in the L-N Lady Raiders winning three and dropping two. The girls had a “trial-by-fire” game at Deshler where they performed well in a come-from-behind victory, but then faced tough competition at the Friend tournament on Saturday.     George Stierwalt, the son of George and Myrtle (Hattan) Stierwalt, was born on March 22, 1933, in Edgar, Neb. He died Sept. 7, 2020, at the Brodstone Memorial Hospital at Superior, Nebraska, at the age of 87 years, 5 months, 16 days. George attended grade school in Edgar. He enlisted with the United State Army on July 28, 1953, serving during the Korean war and was honorably discharged on June 7, 1955.     Kathryn L. Anderson, 65, Blue Hill, Neb., died Monday, Sept. 7, 2020, at her home surrounded by her beloved family. Rosary service was 10:30 a.m., Saturday. Funeral Mass followed at 11 a.m.. Both were at St. Stephen's Catholic Church, south of Lawrence, Neb., with Father Corey Harrison officiating.     Dean Abraham Rowley, the son of Walter and Thelma (Wyscaver) Rowley, was born on Sept. 22, 1944 in Superior, Neb. He died April 6, 2020 at his home in Hardy at the age of 75 years, 6 months, 15 days. Dean grew up in Hardy and attended school in Superior. He enlisted with the United States Navy on July 16, 1963, and was honorably discharged on July 14, 1967, serving during the Vietnam War.     Lester Leo Brandt was born on a farm in Nuckolls County near Nora, Neb., on Dec. 23, 1926, to William and Maggie (Peterson) Brandt, the third of five children.
