That team (Falls City Sacred Heart (FCSH) just intercepted a Raider pass and ran it back about 73 yards to tie the game, making the score 14-14 late in the 3rd quarter.     The Lawrence-Nelson High School volleyball team left everything they had on the court, Thursday, in their annual rivalry match with Superior at Superior.     The Lawrence-Nelson cross country program entered two runners at the Superior Invitational, Thursday. The 5,000 meter boys and girls races were run over the Superior Country Club course with temperatures near 90 degrees. Sawyer Cox finished in 36th place in the boys field of 70 runners with his time of 22:37.219. Kennedy Beale turned in a time of 29:16.938. She finished in 18th place in the 29 runner field.     The Rock Hills High School cross country team opened the season at the Tescott Invitational last Wednesday. The Grizzlies are fielding a team for the first time in several years as they have previously competed as part of a cooperative program with Pike Valley. The boys team took third place in the 5K race. Trystyn Reynolds finished 14th. Kobi Bowers took 21st place. Spencer Lindberg held 25th place.     The Rock Hills High School football season opened the season with wild 32-30 win over St. John’s-Tipton at Mankato Friday. The win marked the first time since 2018 that the Grizzlies emerged victorious from the game with their arch-rival and nemesis.     The Rock Hills High School volleyball team visited Beloit last Tuesday for a triangular match with Natoma and St. John’s-Tipton. Rock Hills hosted a triangular match at Mankato Tuesday with Osborne and Thunder Ridge. Match results were unavailable at press time.     Janice Marilyn Ryman, 95, was born on June 26, 1928, at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Lincoln, Nebraska and died at Blue Valley Lutheran Home in Hebron, on Aug. 28. She was the daughter of Floyd W. Ryman and Pauline Moore Ryman. Her father, who was a dentist and avid aviator, died in a plane accident when Janice had just turned six years old.     It was another tough outing for the Superior Wildcats when they went up against the Bruning-Davenport-Shickley Eagles at Shickley Friday.
