    Steven Spillman, 72, died at his home in Republic, Kan., on Aug. 11, after an 8-year battle with cancer. Steve was born Feb. 1, 1949, in Superior, to Earl and Shirley Spill- man. He attended Superior schools until the family moved to Golden, Colo., in 1964. He graduated from Golden High School in 1967. In 1972, Steve married Charlene Horning of Indian Hills, Colo.     David V. Anderson, 81, of Burr Oak, Kansas, died at his residence on Friday, Aug.13. On Jan. 15, 1940, David was born in Huntington Park, Calif., to Verner and Edith (Lewis) Anderson. David was a 1957 graduate of Huntington Park High. He then received his associate degree from Orang Coast Junior College.     Rose M. Brennfoerder, 82, the daughter of Bart and Tiny (Swartz) Johnson was born Aug. 16, 1938, at Emporia, Kan. She died Thursday, Aug. 12, at Memorial Hospital in Aurora, Neb. She is survived by her husband, Ron Brennfoerder; sons: Jim Shipley and Scott Shipley; daughter, Vicki Novak; sisters: Betty, Joann, Josephine, Linda, Charlene and Darlene; and brother, Mike.     Phil Laverne Hansen, 83, died Friday, at the Webster County Community Hospital in Red Cloud. He was born Nov. 7, 1937, to Ted and Maude (Duval) Hansen at the family home in rural Webster County. He was the second born to a set of twins and the youngest of five. Phil was active in 4-H, showing calves at the county fair that were raised on his dad’s farm.
