Roger Lee Stineman, 50, the son of Wilford and Marianne (Sole) Stineman, was born on Jan. 16, 1970, in Superior. He died July 27, 2020, at his home in Nelson. Roger was a Nelson High School graduate with the Class of 1988. Farming was his first passion. He enjoyed being on the farm raising pigs, driving tractor, baling hay and combining. Amaryllis Geraldine (Peterson) Eckles, was born to Enos and Gladys (Frye) Mazour on Oct. 21, 1933, on the family farm near Spring Ranch, Neb. She died Saturday, Aug. 8, 2020, at Bryan West Medical Center in Lincoln at the age of 86. Lois V. Clagett, 86, of Lincoln died Saturday, Aug. 1, 2020. She was born in Emerald, Neb., on Sept. 11, 1933, to Vera (Scherer) and Adolph Priess. Her funeral was Aug. 6 at Lincoln Memorial Park in Lincoln. Neb. Lois married Lawrence native, Lloyd Clagett on April 27, 1957, and the couple celebrated their 62nd wedding anniversary before Lloyd died in 2019. She was a homemaker and Camp Fire Girls’ leader. Carl Melvin Arent, 80, the son of Leslie and Cleo (Claflin) Arent, was born in Stockville, Neb., on Nov,4, 1939, and died Aug. 3, 2020. Carl grew up in various small farming communities in Nebraska. He enlisted in the U.S. Navy, where he received his GED. After serving his country for four years, Carl was honorably discharged on Sept. 10, 1963. Florence Wauneta Schardt was born on Jan. 23, 1928, in Deshler, to Fred and Elsie Schardt. After graduating from high school and teacher training, she taught for five years in three different schools. At the age of 23, she married her sweetheart, Erwin Kniep, and joined him on his farm.
