    The Nelson Volunteer Fire and Rescue department members held their 5th annual street dance and served a free-will donation dinner Friday. The meal was donated by Carroll and Patty Sole and Caps Cafe. The dinner consisted of a pulled pork sandwich, beans, potato salad, chips and a cookie. She died Aug. 6, 2021, at the CHI St. Francis Hospital at Grand Island,at the age of 94 years, 2 months, 25 days. Mildred was baptized and confirmed at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Lawrence.     The funeral service and Mass of Christian Burial were held Saturday, August 7, at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Lawrence for Jeanette Brockman. Mrs. Brockman, age 68, passed on July 29, in Lincoln, Neb. Rev. Father Corey Harrison was the celebrant and director of the services. Acolyte was John Dolnicek; Reader was Tom Dolnicek; Musicians were Aaron and Bethany Thompson. Pallbearers were Kurt Hoelting, Paul Hoelting, Terry Madson and Brian Skalka.
