    Jenna Gilbert, Nuckolls County Extension Educator, served as the mistress of ceremonies in the open air pavilion at the Nuckolls County Fair ground.     The Nelson Public Library is hosting an end of summer block party at the Nelson Municipal Swimming Pool from 6 to 11 p.m. Saturday.     Addison Kohmetscher was crowned the Nuckolls County rodeo princess Thursday evening in front of the grand stand. Nuckolls County has not generally crowned a princess. However, the McCord Family and Schroyer family purchased white princess chaps for the event in memory of Halley (Schroyer) Bohlen.     Sutton resident Dayle Allen DuBois, 80, died a month and a half after celebrating his 80th birthday on June 16. He died peacefully on Aug. 6, 2024, at Heritage Crossings in Geneva, Nebraska. He was born Jan. 24, 1940, in Phillips County, Kansas, the son of Roy and Zella (Munyon) Hall. He was a teacher and a farmer.
