    Hastings resident Rex Charles Darling, 86, died Saturday, July 1, 2023, at Mary Lanning HealthCare in Hastings. A memorial service for Rex and his wife, Fran, who died in 2020, will be 11 a.m., Saturday, July 29, at the All Saints Chapel at the Good Samaritan Society in Hastings with Chaplain John Mueller officiating.     Due to the construction project the first day of school for PK-12 has been moved to Monday, August 21st. Open House for PK-5 will be Thursday, August 17th from 6pm-7pm. MS/New HS Students Open House will be Thursday, August 17th at 6:30pm. Unfortunately Kona Ice has be cancelled. Homecoming will be postponed to a later date.
