Tessie was born in Superior, Nebraska, to Albert and Clista Gray on May 19, 1928, the sixth of nine children. She graduated from Superior High School. Kermit Clare Jeffery, the son of Everett and Zula Jeffery was born on Feb. 13, 1931, at Northbranch, Kansas. He died on June 17, 2024, at Cherry Corner Estates in Red Cloud, Nebraska at the age of 93. Kermit received his formal education from Union One Country School near Northbranch, and graduated from Burr Oak High School in 1949. Shirley Uhrmacher, 84, of Superior, formerly of Nelson, died June 19, 2024. She was born April 12, 1940, in Superior. Her parents were Harold Uhrmacher and Armilda (Hohl) Uhrmacher. Seth Going, head coach for the Superior High School wrestling team, took five wrestlers to a summer camp at Seward last week.
