Lorna Jean (Underwood) Hajny of Smith Center, died June 17, at Smith County Memorial Hospital. She previously resided on a farm in the Esbon area. She was born Sept.1, 1928, on a farm near Otego, Kan., to parents Charley and Elsie (Snyder) Underwood. She graduated from Esbon High School. Ronald Dale Michel, 70, of Lincoln, Neb., (formally of Edgar) died June 18, in Lincoln, Neb. He was born on June 16, 1950, in Auburn to Clarence and Ruby (Vick- ers) Michel.
