    It has been an interesting week for area residents who enjoy watching the clouds. Monday night a spectacular rainbow appeared to arch over Superior.     Living Faith Fellowship’s Eggstravaganza which is normally held near Easter wasn’t held this year because the parks were closed at that time. It has been rescheduled for 9 to 11 a.m. Saturday.     It’s been an interesting few days for officers associated with the Nuckolls County Sheriff’s office. On Sunday the department advised an officer was called to the Hardy Main Street to investigate reports of a coyote behaving strangely.     The Kansas Department of Health and Environment (KDHE), in conjunction with the Kansas Department of Wildlife, Parks and Tourism (KDWPT), has issued a public health warning for blue-green algae for Lovewell Reservoir in Jewell County.     At 2 p.m., Tuesday, June 23, Keaton Meyer appeared in Nuckolls County Court with Judge Illingworth presiding. He was sentenced to 8 to 10 years in a Nebraska correctional facility and given credit for time already served in the amount of 360 days. He was not seen as a good candidate for probation.     Superior Public Schools will hold the 2019-20 graduation ceremony at 10 a.m., on Saturday, July 18. The ceremony will take place in Superior’s high school gym.     Saturday was the 20th anniversary for Guide Rock's Rockin' G annual open horse show with 98 participants. Judging was Lydia Smith Jundra of Clarkson.     The Nebraska Game and Parks Commission has been awarded a $75,000 grant from the Nebraska Environmental Trust for the Rainwater Basin Wetland Management project. Game and Parks is a partner with the Rainwater Basin Joint Venture and is committed to providing optimal habitat on private and public lands for migrating waterfowl in the Rainwater Basin.
