Dorothy Elizabeth Amack Mattison, 97, was born June 1, 1924, to Luella and Lloyd Amack in Garfield precinct south of Red Cloud. She died June 14, at Heritage Care Center in Red Cloud. Kenneth L. Hurley, 75, was born Aug. 24, 1945, in Concordia. He died May 27, 2021. He went to school in Republic, and later attended Fort Hays State. Ken got excited every year in December about going to Fonner Park in Grand Island to start training horses. This was something he wanted to do since he was a small child.
