The Lawrence-Nelson High School boys golf team had an impressive showing at the state Class-D golf tournament last Tuesday and Wednesday. The Rock Hills High School golf team competed at the state sand greens tournament last Monday.The 18-hole match was played over the Leonardville Golf Course at Riley. The Grizzlies finished in fifth place, with a team score of 389, in the seven team field of Lakeside, who won their third consecutive state championship, St. John’s, Tipton Catholic, Riley County, Pike Valley and Western Plains. Several members of the Rock Hills High School track and field team competed at the state championship meet held Friday and Saturday at Wichita State University's Cessna Stadium in Wichita.
