Kalynn Meyer, a former Superior High School three-sport stand out, has eschewed volleyball after two seasons at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, to pursue her dream of competing in the 2024 Olympics in the discus throw. The match was rescheduled from March 22 because of inclement weather. Superior hosted Lawrence-Nelson, B-D-S and Red Cloud at the Superior Country Club Tuesday. The Sacred Heart Sewing Circle for the Sacred Heart Catholic parish in Lawrence was organized in 1916 (Yes, 106 years ago). Since that time, thousands of quilts have been put together and quilted by the women of Sacred Heart parish with some help from women outside of the parish on occasion.
