Her funeral was at 11 a.m., Friday, March 17, at the United Methodist Church in Guide Rock with the Rev. Dale Thiele officiating. Francis Dale Willmeth, age 80, Jewell, Kansas resident, died March 14, 2023, at the Jewell County Hospital, Mankato. He was born on Aug. 1, 1942, to Phyllis and Francis Willmeth. Francis went by Dale. He graduated from Smith Center High School and was a veteran of the United States Air Force. Dale enjoyed many hobbies during his life including singing barbershop, collecting and selling baseball cards and coins, raising quail and ducks and gardening. Arlan married Elva (Novak) on May 9, 1970, in Haddam, Kansas. To the union was a son, Frank Shane Folsom, was born. Most of Arlan’s adult life was spent tuning pianos. It was a busy week for members of the Superior High School track and field teams. The Wildcats opened the 2023 season at the Sutton Invitational, at Sutton lastTuesday. The girls team finished in third place, with 69 points, while the boys team finished 12th with two points in the 12 team field.
