    The South Central Red Raiders wrestling team competed at the District C-3A wrestling meet at David City Saturday. The two Lawrence-Nelson wrestlers, who compete as part of the cooperative program, failed to progress to the district meet. Nathan Elledge finished his season with a 5-34 mark in the 195 pound weight bracket. Rocky Miller closed out his season in the 220 pound weight bracket with a 3-34 record....

    It was a tough way for the Rock Hills girls basketball team to see their six game winning streak come to an end. They fell to the Sylvan- Lucas Mustangs, 38-35, at Sylvan Grove last Tuesday. The team kicked off a new winning streak with a 52-45 win over Lakeside at Mankato Friday giving the grizzlies a 7-2 record for the season. Rock Hills extended their win streak Monday with a 38-27 win over Tescott at Mankato. It was win number eight to go along with two losses.     The Rock Hills High School boys basketball team appears to have a penchant for close basketball games recently. The Grizzlies fell to Sylvan-Lucas, 42-40, at Sylvan Grove, last Tuesday. Rock Hills needed to go to overtime to down Lakeside 54-52, at Mankato Friday. The grizzlies had an easy time Monday when they tamed the Tescott Tigers, 57-16, at Mankato.     Regular readers of this column know I grew up in a house that wasn’t much more than a stone’s throw from my father’s business. The house was designed so my fathxer could keep a close watch on his business. There was even a switch within reach of his bed with which he could turn off and on lights at his place of business.
