On Friday the Nelson American Legion had its annual chili cook-off. The event began at approximately 5:30 p.m. Those attending gave a free will donation and enjoyed several specialty home-made chili soups. Basketball Team win last 4 of 5 games Last week the Raider boys basketball team had the usual two games and may have added two victories if it wasn’t for the last eight minutes of the first game. The L-N girls' basketball team is about three points away from winning their last five ball games. A two point loss to McCool Junction prohibited that claim to fame, but winning four of their last five games improved the team's record to 4-6 after five tough games to start the season.
