The Couples Summer Golf league met in Nelson at the Elk Creek Country Club for a relaxing fun night. This week everyone teed off from the ladies tee boxes and then played alternating shots. Golfers had the option to putt either hole. This turned out to be rather challenging for some teams. Craig German golfed a 33 by himself since his regular partner was unable to come. Josh and Christina Harwell and Joe and Jenny Harwell both came in with a low score of 41. Richard and Verlene Watson and Chuck and DeAnna Tuttle both took a 56 for high score....
The mixed couples summer golf league met in Nelson at the Elk Creek Country Club Friday evening for their final round of competition using the two-person scramble format. It was a beautiful "fall like" evening. Prizes this week went to the team of Craig German and Cindy Hewitt with a low net score of 34 and Richard and Verlene Watson with a high gross score of 55 and having the most over on a hole for taking an 8 on the par 4 hole 5. Rod Burge's second shot on hole 1 was the closest to the green...
